SHORTI belongs to a low cost, compact range of Ultrasonic Level Transmitters. The family consists of:
SHORTI 3/4 Wire - A 3 wire or 4 wire unit with 4-20mA output
SHORTI LP - A 2 wire loop powered unit measuring up to 5meters, CAN ONLY WORK ON LIQUIDS, with 4-20mA output
SHORTI SW - An Ultrasonic Level Switch with a programmable 8 Amp SPDT relay contact output
The SHORTI instrument range has a blanking distance of 0.3meters and designed to measure up to 8meters, an integral Transducer, 4 digit LCD display, programming keypad and temperature compensation as Standard.
SUMPI is a General purpose Ultrasonic Level Controller with a range of up to 15 meters. The Instrument allows for connectivity to various sensors for a variety of applications. It features an isolated analog output, three programmable relays and integral programming keypad with a 128 X 64 LCD display.
The SUMPI can also be configured as an Open Channel Flow Meter for the measurement of most liquids in either an Engineering Flume or an Open Channel. Flow Curves for 23 Standard Engineering Flumes are pre - programmed so setup and usage is easy. Temperature compensation on the Transducer allows the SUMPI a guaranteed 0.25 % accuracy. The relays in addition to level control can also be configured for totalized flow output.
SUMPI XP is a single or dual channel Ultrasonic Level Controller with a measuring Range of up to 60 meters. The Instrument is particularly suitable for use where an increased measuring range is required on difficult Solid or Liquid applications. Featuring two isolated analog outputs, five programmable relays and integral programming keypad with a 128 X 64 LCD display, it allows for connectivity to KAB's longer range sophisticated Transducers.
The SUMPI XP can also be configured as either a single or a dual channel Open Channel Flow Meter for the measurement of most liquids in either an Engineering Flume or an Open Channel. Flow Curves f or 23 Standard Engineering Flumes are pre - programmed so set up and usage is easy.
The SUMPI XP can also measure the differential level between the two configured channels in dual mode of operation.
NETSONIX is an Ethernet Ultrasonic Level Controller with a range of up to 60 meters. The Instrument allows for connectivity to all standard networks (LAN, WAN) and even the internet using TCP/IP protocol.
The OPC Server software allows for the easy integration into existing SCADA software packages for the monitoring and control of the levels.
KAB manufactures a range or Ultrasonic Transducers capable of measuring ranges up to 60 meters on solid and liquid applications. The range also makes provision for the measuring of various aggressive materials including acids, alkaline, foams and powders.
Microwave Block Chute or Barrier Detection transmitter and receiver. This instrument is used mostly for detecting blocked chutes or for point level detection. The microwave beam passed through a rather large amount of non-conductive material, and is therefore not affected by dust or particle build up. The unit consists of an adjustable gain setting, and an on/off timer delay for the relay output. The Microwave consists of a Transmitter and a Receiver unit, which can be placed up to 10metres apart.
The Tilt Switch is a simple low cost level switch designed for use in high level detection. It contains a robust mercury tilt which is housed in a 2mm thick steel tube. It is designed to be installed in silos to detect a high level.
