Our
M series encompasses a whole range of meters that have been successfully used in many different fields of application.
WEIGEL Messgeräte offer meters for traditional fields of application (e.g., measurement of high-voltage current) as well as for the recording of output signals in process technology.
Our meters' dimensions are based on DIN.
Our classical delivery program includes quadratic instruments with a 90° or a 240° dial, rectangular edgewise instruments and slim edgewise instruments for switchboards and dot matrices.
New :
Slim edgewise instruments (96mm x 24mm)
with changeable scales.
Moreover, we offer special-purpose instruments like dual range meters, double frequency meters, segmental voltmeters, three instruments in one case, operating hour meters, synchronizing equipment, phase sequence indicators as well as instruments clamped to DIN-rails.
Our M series ensures that almost every customer-specific design can be accounted for. In particular, illumination, coloring, dials, logos, additional text, multiple measuring ranges, a higher degree of accuracy, modifications, and many more may be designed according to customer specifications.
In compliance with VBG4 / DIN 57 106, sec. 100, our products are supplied with rear panel covers or sleeves.
Limit signal transmitter / indicator
Our
limit signal transmitters serve as two-level controllers to monitor direct and alternating current as well as direct and alternating voltage.
Together with upstream
transducers the limit signal transmitters are used to monitor real and idle power, power factor as well as frequency.
Our limit signal transmitters operate according to the closed-current mode:
They de-energize as soon as the measurement signal exceeds or falls below the predefined limit values.
Alternatively, we offer the open-circuit mode where relays have open contacts.
The price/performance ratio for quadratic instruments is now more attractive due to improved technology:
- The limit values are visualized through the use of red pointers
- The devices are available with a potential-free relay output and two change-over contacts which can be combined with low/low, low/high or high/high limit values
Our edgewise instruments identify limit values via electronic comparator circuits. These values can be transmitted via a relay or a transistor.
The indicating instrument is not affected by the sample option.
Limit values can be easily adjusted on the front of the instruments.
Digital PM / Bargraph indicators / Large size displays
We offer a great variety of
digital panel meters and
large size displays.
They are equipped with up-to-date microprocessor technology and are mostly freely programmable.
Our delivery program includes:
- digital panel meters for standard signals
(0/4 ... 20 mA, 0/2 ... 10 V)
- digital panel meters for direct and alternating current as well as direct and alternating voltage (true RMS value)
- multifunction instruments for monitoring all important factors (e.g., power, power factor) on a three-phase network
- instruments for temperature, pressure, frequency, revolution, etc.
- digital meters with serial input or BCD-input parallel or multiplex, TTL 5V or SPS 24V
- digital meters, bargraph indicators and large size displays for Profibus-input
- large size displays
WEIGEL digital panel meters come in the following sizes: 48mm x 24mm, 72mm x 24mm, 96mm x 24mm, 96mm x 48mm, and 144mm x 48mm.
Red or green seven-segment LED displays with digit heights of 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 20mm or 25mm are available.
Our displays show 2 ½, 3, 3 ½, 4, 4 ½ or 5 digits.
Big alphanumeric red or green displays show between two and six digits with a height of 57mm or 100mm.
We also offer instruments with (limit controls) in a large range of special designs.
Transducers
Electronic
transducers convert high-voltage current and process signals into standard current or voltage outputs that are then transmitted to the receiving indicators, recorders, controllers or computer interfaces.
Our
new generation of transducers are made using SMD technology and they are mostly equipped with microprocessors.
We offer a complete family of transducers that come in two mounting variants, both for clamping to DIN-rail and/or surface mounting.
- alternating current or alternating voltage without auxiliary power
- alternating current or alternating voltage with auxiliary power
- real or idle power
- real AND idle power in ONE housing (new)
- power factor
- frequency
- direct or alternating current TRMS
- direct or alternating voltage TRMS
- revolution/frequency
- isolating transducer active or passive)
The supply is 115/230 V~, 24 V= or wide-range power supply.
All transducers are housed in injection moulded flame-retardant cases with a width of 22.5 mm or 45 mm that comply with UL 94 V-0 and are connected via screw clamps at the front.
The accuracy is either 0.2 or 0.5. The high-quality level of WEIGEL transducers ensures the compliance with safety requirements according to DIN and IEC (e.g., overload, non-mal operation, fault-free operation).
Inputs and outputs are galvanically insulated from one another, short-circuit proof and safe against idling.
Special and customer-specific designs are available on request.
Accessories
Shunts
Shunts provide an accurate DC millivolt signal to drive ammeters, overload protection and control devices, especially for higher amperage.
They supply a voltage output proportional to the DC current which is measured for instance by a moving-coil instrument with the dial calibrated in Amps.
We offer shunts that comply with DIN 43703.
Ratings are from 1 A to 15,000 A with an accuracy of 0.5.
Standard voltage drop is 60 mV or 150 mV.
Intermediate current ratings, other millivolt outputs, better accuracy and special-purpose shunts are available on request.
The same is true for base-mounted shunts (up to 200 A) for clamping on DIN mounting rails.
Current transfomers
Current transformers convert high alternating currents into induced currents of different standards (1 A or 5 A).
We offer the following range of transformers: window types, bus-bar types, wound primary types, summation-, saturation-, protective types, and H.R.C fuse carrier types.
