Working principle
A float is fixed to a lever mounted so that it can rotate, and moves with the surface level of the medium being measured. A magnet fitted to the other end of the lever then activates a reed switch inside the housing.
Area of application
Suitable for almost all liquids.
Temperature
-196 °C to 250 °C (up to 350 °C available as an option)
Pressure
From vacuum to 40 bar (4 MPa). (Versions for higher pressures available.)
Materials
Stainless-steel, brass, titanium, tantalum, Hastelloy, PVC, polypropylene, PVDF, PTFE, and E - CTFE coated floats.
Output
Generally fitted with changeover contacts. Other switch functions are available.
Fitting
At the side: Flange mounted or screw-in thread.
