Measuring principle
High frequency microwave pulses are coupled to a rod and guided along the probe (TDR)
The pulses are reflected by the surface of the product and received by the analysis electronics. A microprocessor identifies these level echoes, which are measured, analysed and converted to level information using ECHOFOX® software. Thanks to this measurement principle there is no need for time-consuming adaptation to the product. The units are already adjusted to the probe length ordered.
Properties
Microwaves are virtually independent of all process conditions. They are, for example, not sensitive to dust and vapour - even process conditions such as strong vapour atmospheres do not influence the accuracy of the measurement.
The rod designs can be shortened to and thus adapted to any conditions on site. They are also independent of fluctuations in the material: fluctuations in density or changes in the dielectric number have no effect on the accuracy.
Even adhesions to the KSR GT are not a problem! Strong adhesions on the probe or on the container wall have no effect on the measurement result. This gives high measurement accuracy and good repeatability and also extremely simple commissioning without filling. Also: electronics in two and four wire technology, replaceable and cut-to-length measuring probes.
KSR GT can be used across industrial boundaries: in chemicals and petrochemicals, in shipbuilding, on/offshore engineering, and in the food stuffs and pharmaceuticals industry.
