Company Profile

TER, Tecno Elettrica Ravasi, was the brainchild of its founder, Sergio Blasi, whose greatest ambition was to turn his skill, ability and technical know-how into a company, an opportunity for jobs and development. An original project, the union of strong market sensitivity, specialisation know-how and a desire to bring together skilled people sharing the same commitment and challenges. Production of control and monitoring devices for winches and hoists started in 1962 in reply to a market opportunity that was the result of the growing economic development and industrialisation of the Italy System that started in the sixties. At the beginning of the seventies, TER made the decision to shift its market horizon and go down a path of internationalisation. This meant putting itself to the test against the market, a marketing culture, management and timing logics and demands and needs for very high quality and performance standards.
Right from the start TER matched a demand for quality in behaviour, products and service: in 1993 it was the first company in Italy in its sector to gain ISO9001 certification, proof of correct organisation of processes activated throughout all the company divisions.
Halfway through the nineties, there was a generational change in company management, with the sons of the founder, Sergio Blasi, taking on direct control of the company. New impetus for growth, internationalisation and design - a continual process of improvement that has turned it into a network-company able to compete on various markets.
The company is located in Olgiate Molgora, Lecco (40 km north of Milan), an area with strong vocation for craftsmanship and industry.
