Surgical | Ultrasonic Devices

Surgical ultrasonic handpieces are used to safely fragment and aspirate tissue in a variety of medical procedures

Phacoemulsification, or cataract surgery, requires precise control to emulsify the cataract nucleus while simultaneously removing the emulsate through a fluidic circuit.

Recognized as best-in-class for durability and reliability, our handpieces meet or exceed performance specifications after hundreds to over a thousand autoclave cycles and years of service.

In addition to phacoemulsification, ZEVEX has developed ultrasonic handpieces for use in other medical applications such as liposuction. Building on our re-usable surgical handpiece innovation and experience, expansion is possible into disposable minimally invasive tumor removal, orthopedic surgery and other exciting applications.
